Giovanni Predicts $10,000,000 Bitcoin by 2045
The power law model predicts Bitcoin will shoot up to $10m in 21 years.
Former physics professor Giovanni Santostasi has updated his "power law" model for predicting Bitcoin's price, forecasting a potential value of $10 million per BTC by 2045. A power law describes a mathematical relationship where one value scales as a fixed power of another, and this model has been observed in various natural phenomena, including financial markets.
Originally shared on the r/Bitcoin subreddit in 2018, the model gained renewed attention after finance YouTuber Andrei Jeikh mentioned it to his 2.3 million subscribers. According to Santostasi, the model predicts a peak Bitcoin price of $210,000 in January 2026, followed by a possible decline to $60,000.
Giovanni Santostasi argues that, over long periods, the power law offers a more predictable view of Bitcoin's price trends compared to the "messy" short-term charts often featured in mainstream media. Unlike the stock-to-flow model, the power law is logarithmic, accommodating significant price fluctuations, such as those seen between 2020 and 2023.
Mathematician Fred Krueger's further modeling suggests Bitcoin could reach $100,000 within two years and surpass gold's market cap by 2033, potentially valuing Bitcoin at $1 million per coin. However, critics warn that even robust mathematical models may not account for unpredictable events that could significantly impact Bitcoin's price.
